WHAT IS THE NEXT LEVEL MAYOR DE BLASIO WANTS CHANCELLOR CARRANZA TO TAKE SCHOOLS TO?

Politico has an article on new Chancellor Richard Carranza. Mayor Bill de Blasio wants the new Chancellor to take "New York's schools to the next level." Nobody knows what that means.

Michael Fiorillo provides one possible answer:

Well, for high schools I assume it means that, since we’re already passing any kid who can fog a mirror, we’ll have to start passing the one’s who’ve died.

That sounds like the plan.

Does anyone have another interpretation?

How about this as the next level?

HOLDING STUDENTS ACCOUNTABLE FOR LEARNING

Wouldn't be prudent! Graduation rates would plummet to the college readiness rate and the mayor would then be naked. That;s mayoral control for ya!

The next logical step is to hand the whole thing over to Eva Moskowitz. Just a matter of time. UFT is on board with it.

Yeah, pretty sure this guy is a placeholder. DeBlasio is term-limited out, so, expect him to cozy-up to Eva this go-‘round so that her donors will be generous to him in is post-Mayoral career. He’s going to have a come-to-Jesus moment regarding charters. I see it happening. Though, Eva won’t take the pay cut to be Chancellor. She just wants deBlasio to kiss her ass.

Nah, as much as I am not down with the UFT, the one thing they will always fight is charters as those teachers do not pay for the caviar at 52 Broadway.

UFT fighting charters, That's a laugh. They started two of their own. They just want charters unionized so they can keep the wine at 52 Broadway flowing.

The next level is the one where teachers unlock access to gauntlets of fire and the chancellor is a boss throwing exploding letters-to-file from a rooftop water tower.

The UFT wanting charters to be unionized is a pipe dream. Those sweatshops hate unions and the majority of them will never be unionized.

Bahaha. So true. He’ll play Mariachi music the whole time, so, the public will think he’s nice while he flameballs teachers.
